Even as we are having a tearful day of grief over losing our beloved family pet, the world goes on in beauty.

The weather is in a fall mood right now.  It even did a little happy rain shower dance over the weekend.  As soon as the calendar page turned to September, the honking  of geese flying in their V formations began calling our eyes to the skies.  How do they know?

The clouds are proclaiming the glory of God with their shining brightness.

"I'm so happy fall is almost here,
now we can stop  trying to get that summer bikini body
and concentrate on our fall sweater body."
"Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall."
F. Scott Fitzgerald
It's not crisp yet, but with any weather under 90 degrees, I can see it from here.
When cooler weather begins, our thoughts turn to soup,
to puddles, to a fireplace, to a leaning towards the holidays.
The children are nestled all safe in their class,
While visions of holidays dance at long last.
I knew it was the official end of August when the Christmas magazines
 made their appearance in Walmart.
Join us on Wed. night at my house 6PM for
"1,000 Gifts," by Ann VosKamp,
lessons on gratitude.
It's a great way to squeeze all the juice out of the season.
"Thank you for the wind and rain
and sun and pleasant weather,
thank you for this our food
and that we are together."
Mennonite Blessing
"Earth with her thousand voices praises God."
Samuel Taylor Coleridge
"I lift up my eyes unto the hills--
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth."
Psalm 121:1-2
