PSALM 103 continued...

Take me out to the ballgame.

As I've posted before, these twins love for Grandpa to tell them Bible stories.
So even if it is at a ballgame, he is game and the stories begin...

When's the last time someone told you something that special?
I'd like to introduce you to a great friend.

Perhaps you've seen Him around.

"He made known His ways to Moses,
His acts to the sons of Israel."

Oh, so you've already met Him.
But do you truly know Him?

Sometimes if you want to introduce someone,
you need to be a reliable witness, trustworthy.
So we need to reflect our gracious Lord so that others
will want to know Him.

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
Slow to anger and abounding in lovingkindness.
He will not always strive with us;
Nor will He keep His anger forever.
He has not dealt with us according to our sins,
Nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
For as high above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness
toward those who fear Him.
As far as the east is from the west,
so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Just as a father has compassion on his children,
So the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him.
For He Himself knows our frame;
He is mindful that we are but dust."
(verses 7-14)

So if you are up for adoption, He's willing to be your Father.
Did you know when a child is adopted, he or she gets a new birth certificate?
When He adopts you, your name is written down in His book in heaven.
He wants to be our compassionate Father.
He is willing to separate our past as far as the east is from the west.
He knows how fragile we are.

The goal is that we are safe, able to slide into home.
